Cloaked in mist, warmed by the Sun and stirred by a whirling wind, Kauri grows tall and wise through passing years and changing times.

Told in the style of a Maori myth, this is the story of a young Kauri sapling as it grows and changes and watches the world around it evolve. From other plants, to birds, to Maori, to settlers, to industrialisation and beyond — and then when the Kauri is very old the birds will lift it up and carry it away.
